This is going to sound strange, but the photo unsettles me--the black and red combining somehow to look dangerous; I don't know. And yet it's beautiful.
I don't understand it, but I feel compelled to fave it.
This reminds me of a shot I took while out of town helping a friend move into a new apartment Flower Composition I only had my cellphone camera on hand but I had to take it anyhow. I'm glad someone else was able to experiment with this composition as well. I plan on going back with a real camera next spring and getting some nice shots.
whoa. that is so nice marion!
so,...this is a type of duotone? like a quadtone? or is this a filter?
it just seems like you've managed to capture so many degrees of red,...so much depth or contrast.
it's so rich.
am i making sense? at all?
sorry. friday morning. no caffiene yet!
I haven't seen the blue one, but I can imagine that it would't affect me the same way this one does. The redness gives it a fleshy look. And the way that mostly-central one is more white than the others just adds to my mental image of the flowers trying to puch their way out of the frame as if they're seeking something...
Or maybe I just have an overly active imaginationg. He he he.
