I somehow think I spent much to much time on this, but I am glad it's finished now.
The background is created with old book pages, some layers of gesso, sanded it down a few times and applied acrylics. The girl was added via imagetransfer. original size is 8x10 inches on canvas board\ original is available here: [link] |

do you mind if I ask? I've done image transfers on cloth and handmade paper before, but never on top of anything that had a type of ink already on it....
I always used photocopies taped face down to the material and applied Stryp-eaze or some type of strip agent.. Is there another method of transfer that wouldn't affect the ink beneath?

The glazing medium doesn't affect the painting beneath. Before that I used caulking and it always affected the paint. So my new weapon of choice, glazing medium.... no mess, faster drying and no color problems
